I've been looking for information on the family name Bruce, or Brus, as my
mother swears our line goes right back to Robert. (I hope he wasn't as much
of a weenie as portrayed in Braveheart!) Our public library is woefully thin
in Celtic stuff. They have GOBS of stuff on Hispanic names, but Celtic names
is not one of their priorities. AOL has a little geneaology area, but not
much in the line of Bruce.
It does have a paper describing all those geneaology terms! Whoo, what a
bunch of jargon!
Can anyone suggest good books about Robert the Bruce?
(who is, even with a German name, 1/2 Scots by heritage!)
