Could someone please tell me whether modern Welsh tudded, "covering,
cloak", is a recent import? I am familiar with English duds, "clothes",
which seems to go back to ME dudde, "cloth, cloak".
Also, can anyone tell me how long the names Great and Little Ormes have
been used for the headlands at Llandudno of St. Tudno? I've noticed on
maps that the Great Ormes Head at least is called Y Gogarth in Welsh.
Thank you very much in advance.
