"Where is everybody?" What a good question. Let me begin by saying that
I have no idea where anyone else is, but I'm in Miami, Florida, and I'm
excited to receive some response from my recent request to subscribe to the
Celtic mailing list. I just discovered the list earlier this week while
tripping around the Internet (a very new experience for me), and wrote to
subscribe just a day or two ago.
I trust that there are other people on the list, even though I don't know
what the list is all about other than that it has a connection to the Celtic
World. (Not coincidentally, that is why I am interested in subscribing.) It
seems that, even though you seem to be out of the loop for the moment, you
certainly have more information than I do.
Tell me about you: Where you are, what you do, who you are, etc.
I live in Miami, as I said, and spend a part of every day it seems
thinking about how I can make my way to Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England.
I work for myself, proving clients with marketing-communications services
(marketing, public relations, advertising, communications, project
management, etc.). I enjoy the creative side of it -- coming up with ideas,
writing copy, building a project, making things happen, etc. -- but I don't
enjoy seeking people to use those services and then selling them on that
prospect. Unfortunately, that's where the money is!
Life here revolves around degrees of hot -- you know, hot and hotter --
and some years it seems as though we have 10 months of August. But February,
March and April in Miami are the nicest months of pleasant weather you could
