There is a story about Richard Burton:-
One day the famous Welshman was staying at a big hotel in London. As was his
usual habit he was propping up the bar and on this night he met an American
tourist. The conversation quickly took a turn for the worse when he found that
Richard was Welsh.
'Gee!' the American would exclaim at every opportunity, "To think you are
a'Selt' like me!"
Eventually the befuddled Burton could stand it no longer. He levered himself up
off the bar stool, drew himself up to his full height and boomed,
"I Sir, may indeed be a 'selt', but if this is the case then you, just as surely
must be a 'sunt'!"
