This is ok if you keep wholeheartedly to the Ga\idhlig pronounciation,
with a good long "ah".  But if you say
    "Tha Galic agam"
as English-speakers tend to do, it sounds more like
    "Tha caileag agam"
which means "I have a girlfriend" or "I have a daughter".
