Tom & all those curious about Irish: These are great sentences for
demonstrating how different Irish idiom can be from English.
 
        I love you. = Ta/ gra/ agam duit. [taw graw ah-guhm ditch.]*
 
                literally, "(there) is love at-me for-you."
 
 
        I miss you. = Airi/m uaim thu/. [a-reem wehm hoo. (a as in cat.)]
 
                literally, "I-feel from-me you."
 
*These pronunciation guides are VERY approximate and inadequate!  Note
that the slash / indicates an acute accent over the preceding vowel.
