I think the British Library were being less than helpful!
There is an entry on their own database (British Library Serials)
which proves that it exists = Celtic Monthly:a magazine for
highlanders, and it ran from v1, October 1892 to v25 - 1917. They
don't have a copy, its true, but the entry records a set in Cambridge
The British Union Catalogue of Periodicals (which they should also
have checked) lists all British holdings, and says there IS a set in
the British Library. (But a lot of material was destroyed in the
War, and it may be they now know it was lost).
Also Aberdeen University Library and Edinburgh Public Library have
sets. At St.Andrews Univ.Library they have volumes 1-13
only. Dundee Public Library has volumes 8-25.
I hope this is of use - I'm sure ONE of these places will let you
have a photocopy!
