The whole band's Irish, not just the singer. But it's a pretty good album.
It's not my favorite, but I like it more the more I hear it. It's quite
mellow, almost Clannad-ish (LATE period, Enya-style), and has been getting
extensive airplay on Alternative and Pop stations. Good to see another
Irish band getting attention. Don't know if it'll last, but rumor has it
there's another album coming out. I hope it has equal success! Worth
hearing, but only if you're not a die-hard traditionalist or folkie.
