Ken - and anyone else who might be interested...
Fiona has a Thistle & Shamrock Newsletter which she publishes 6 times
each year -- and which includes her upcoming programs. The one that
arrived in my mailbox yesterday covers July 7 - August 25, with descriptions
for each program. She also a playlist of the past two months' programs,
listings of festivals, tour schedules, and usually a welcome note from
herself. In fact -- her Big news is that she just won "another medal
from the 1994 New York International Radio Festivals." Congratulations,
Anyway - anybody can subscribe to this newsletter - and I'm sure glad I do.
I can't remember what it costs (not too much!), but you can write or call
their office in Charlotte, N.C. to find out. If you write, be sure to send
a self-addressed, stamped envelope, of course. Here's the info:

My own opinion about Fiona's program is that I'm pretty much a devoted
listener - and of course, I like some programs more than others. However,
Fiona played the very first Celtic music I ever heard, and it really did
change my life. Doesn't that sound silly? Well -- it's the truth.
And it's still the only primarily Celtic music program I know of....
