distinct impression that those who wanted to hear some vocal music
were looked down upon. Kind of like, "Geez, if it's "Whiskey in the
Jar" you want, go to some tourist pub. We do *real* Irish music
I don't know if this muddies the thread (to mix metaphors) or adds to
it, but that's the impression I got.
Well - that is kind of what I was trying to say. I get the definate
impression that I am looked down upon - and I don't sing Whisky in
the Jar! I try always to sing the old traditional songs.... but
like I tried to say before - I think I get asked to sing because I am
there. Sometimes sessions just aren't the place, you know???
