Hey...even and especially in rock 'n' roll, check out the definitively "Gaelic"
sounding rhythms and chord stuff (A to D then A to F sharp, etc.) used by Big
Country - the album Buffalo Soldiers is pretty rife with it as well as their
first album. Really sets this band off from more blues based stuff like we have
here in the states. What I especially notice is the use of that rolling
bodrhan-like rhythm you know? U2 and the Alarm migt also be alitle guilty now
and then of the same.
