Regarding Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, there are short entries about him in
both THE OXFORD COMPANION TO THE LITERATURE OF WALES (ed. Meic
Stephens) and the DICTIONARY OF WELSH BIOGRAPHY DOWN TO 1940. Both
entries include bibliography. Recent books which treat him include:
A. D. Carr, LLYWELYN AP GRUFFUDD (ardiff, 1982), David Stephenson,
GOVERNANCE OF GWYNEDD, and D. Stephenson, LAST PRINCE OF WALES.
One should also consult the bibliographies in J. B. Smith's book
in Welsh and in R. R. Davies' survey of high medieval Welsh
history.
