It seems also possible that "Murray" could be an angicization of a Gaelic
surname, much as relatives of mine in Leitrim (O Bro/in) became "Wrynn" -
They ran a pub, hence An Teach-Osta Ui Bhro/in becomes "Wrynn."  Charlie
