Can anyone tell me the history of Castle Caldwell in Enniskillen, Co.
Fermanagh, N. Ireland? This castle was once called Castle Rossberg
(and before that Castle Hasset) until 1792 when Baronet Caldwell changed
its name. There is a strange inscription above a door of some such that
warns fiddlers to stay away. It refers to an event that took place in 1770.
I would certainly appreciate it if someone could the me the history of this
castle. Thanks in advance,
