In reply to the point about Galicia not being truly `Celtic', two points:
1. Quite true, there is no language of Celtic origin there but 2. the
point of the original message was not to suggest that Galicia was a truly
`Celtic' country, but rather to point out that, in the formation of a
national identity, Galician intellectuals at the beginning of the century
frequently looked to nations such as Ireland for support, and that, construct
or not, the use of a `celtic heritage' in the literary and political
world of Galicia in the early part of the century is an inescapable fact.
Thus, the original idea of the question was to be able to compare Irish and
Galician literature on this basis. Any bibliography please?
