All I know right now is that the song's name is "Forgotten Hero" (I think) and
the version I heard was by a male singer. It's a tribute to Michael Davitt and
the Land League. I heard it yesterday, coming home from Boston on the 1:30
Amtrak, on the radio. I had found, quite by accident, a Celtic music program
on a college radio station. Unfortunately, I don't know what college (not
Boston College or Boston University), but the station was around 89.3. The
show sounded like a lot of fun, so of course my Walkman, the frequency, and
Bostonian geography stopped cooperating in a matter of minutes.
Actually, if anybody out there would like to help me find _two_ songs,
"Forgotten Hero" was followed by a song for which I don't even have a title.
It was a series of letters from Kilkenny to America, telling the immigrant
sons about things at home. Every verse started with "Kilkenny, (year)," and it
sounded like a male/female duet or band.
Well, anyone who could contribute artists and albums would be greatly thanked!
