The ref. for the article on Pictish marriage by Nora Kershaw
Chadwick is: "Pictish and Celtic Marriage in early Literary
Tradition," _Scottish Gaelic Studies, 8 (1958, (pt.1, 1955) pp.56-115.
In the same issue is another article by NKC, "The name 'Pict'"
pp. 146-76. The Chadwick's were scholars of fantastic breadth
(it is Hector Munro Chadwick, BTW)--covering Latin, Greek,
Slavic and a host of other traditions including Celtic. Their
three-volume _The Growth of Literature_ is still a mine of
information on early and oral traditions in Europe and Asia.
