>Ba cumung dano cid ar indus. Lotar dó cammaib. Tobertatar cairptiu leu.
I have --
It was also narrow even so. They went to it anyway. They brought chariots with them.
cumung - narrow, constricted
cid - cia plus 3rd singular present subjunctive of copula 'even..though it be..as to, as regards'
indus -- manner, kind, appearance condition, nature'
a literal translation of 'cid ar indus' might be 'even with regard to condition' which doesn't make much sense. Van Hamel's glossary says "even so (i.e. even if they brought their own food, etc. they would have to face discomfort, the house being narrow."
cammaib - variant of "cammaiph..camm + oíb lit. false appearance, hence however, nevertheless". 'camm' is an adjective meaning crooked or a
substantive with abstract meaning 'crookedness, perversity, fault'. Van Hamel's glossary says 'all the same.'
tubertatar -- variant of 'tobertatar' 3rd plural preterite 'do-beir'
cairptiu - accusative plural 'carpat' chariot, wagon
leu - preposition 'la' plus 3rd plural pronoun.
