Dear Daniel,
This is good news, thank you so much. I am very much relieved, but at the
same time sympathise deeply with your troubles. Once upon a time books
were printed with plates assembled of little pieces of lead type, very
bulky and not easily lost. In our enlightenment we have moved to storing
things invisibly on microchips, or even worse, on that nebulous thing
called 'the cloud.' It is hardly to be wondered at if bits of what is
stored break off and drift away, the only surprise is that it doesn't
happen more often.
My German friends from Koeln (the address to which my copy of the book is
to be sent) are coming to Ireland later this month. Perhaps, with luck all
round, they'll bring my copy with them?
