I have ..
Then Cet MacForfaithci came from the south a year afterwards. He escaped to meet him,
driving a ball.
-tuidchid -- conjinct 3rd singular perfect 'do-tét' in Strachan.
derlais -- looks like 3rd singular perfect form of 'do-élai' (escapes)
Ain -- áin ..act of driving, refers to cattle or balls in a game
Liathróid -- ball. I expected a genitive singular like 'liathróite' with an extra syllable at the
end. See DIL L 148.66
