Right, big, big difference. My paper copy is the 1927, but the fonts / character sets are the same, and they look the same whether on Kindle or paper.
Perhaps I need to go find a paper 1904 copy, hmmmm, good idea.

There is a big, big difference between the 1904 edition and the 1927,
Candice. Which edition is your "paper copy from 1996"? I keep two of
each downstairs, two up, so I always have both the 1904 and 1927
editions to hand. No time today to tell the interesting story behind the
two editions, though perhaps someone else on the list would.
