My thoughts too Marion! the problem as I see it that we face today, is
the greed and gambling and self-centredness of modern capitalism, it
overrides everything else that is good and noble in life. And its totally
pointless the Greeks rioting, or the British students complaining, etc.
because just saying 'its wrong' is not going to change anything - we
need to propose a new way of living, what we need desperately is a
new social visionary philosopher who can provide us all with a working
alternative social mechanism as an alternative to rampant capitalism.
Then people can riot FOR something and maybe we can move ahead.
(stopping now, apologies for slipping off topic...)
