McKillop's Dictionary of Celtic Mythology dates the Eoganacht dynasty to
the 5th to the 12th centuries, which would date the arrival of their ancestor
Eogan long before the Viking period. I would guess Iron Age.
Do we have any idea what boats looked like at that time? Any boat
finds? Or old drawings? Liz
