Athbhliain faoi mhaise, David!
I don't use my email program to read list messages (I have a slow 2003
computer); I read and write at the Listserv website using Internet Explorer
with Western European Windows coding.
The subject line looks fine on the website to me.
I saw a u and a rectangle in the body of the message, so obviously I'm
not seeing the character right.
When I clicked 'reply', using Plain Text, the characters in the subject line
got all messed up and I see 3 characters in the test message -- 'u' , 'I' with a
backwards accent mark, and a horizontal line superscript.
I am not a computer expert but I suspect there is more than just our mail
programs involved here; multiple steps where characters can get messed up
as they go from computer to computer.
Let me try my character map. Here is an 'a' with a line over it. Can
anybody see it?
