DIL does have 'femen', apparently from Latin vimen, a flexible rod, e.g.
a willow wand used in basketry.
Perhaps 'fimenach' is the substantivised adjective:
'vimen' > 'fimen-ach': 'highly flexible one'. That would do for hypocrit.
