Me too. But as this story is the origin legend of the Cíannachta, it
seems to be designed to promote their story rather than that of their
overlord. (It may have something to do with politics in Brega in the
Bear in mind that Conchobar mac Nessa was usually described of as an
ideal king as well. But that description might in fact have been ironic.
His actions are strikingly unkingly at times.
