Celtic and Indo-European Linguistics

The Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, a dedicated research
institute with an international reputation, invites applications for a
three-year full-time post available from 1 January 2009. The Research
Fellow will join a team led by Professor John T. Koch in a pioneering
multidisciplinary investigation of ‘Ancient Britain and the Atlantic
Zone’ (Iberian Peninsula, Ireland, and Armorica). The successful
applicant will be a historical linguist, holding a higher degree in a
relevant field, and with expertise and a record of publications in the
early Celtic languages of this region. The Research Fellow will
undertake both collaborative and independent research within this
subject area. The appointment is for a fixed term of 36 months. The
salary will be within the range £26,665 - £30,912.
