Moving Magnet MSDP peering to the new network
Ability of Magnet users to learn about HEAnet multicast streams and vice
20080820 14:47 OMG HEAnet has an IPv4 Multicast peering with Magnet at
INEX. We also have an MSDP peering with them to share multicast source
advertisements. This peering has been inactive since the migration to the
new network. I contacted [log in to unmask] about re-establishing this peering
on our new network. Rado has configured their end and we will make the
necessary changes on our end at 5pm today (post network freeze period).
20080821 12:06 OMG Changes made on our side yesterday but the MSDP peering
didn't come up as expected. Contacted Magnet, who replied saying that they
needed to make changes to a border ACL. The peering came up at 09:41.
The neighbor-group for the peering with Magnet via INEX LAN#2 was only
configured for unicast IPv4, so also changed that to the multicast
neighbor-group to mirror the set up on INEX LAN #1. Closing ticket.
Time to Fix:
