Problem Description:
BT Ireland have informed us that they wish to replace 1 KM of fibre on the
link towards Maynooth and IADT.  This work is to make permanent the
temporary fix installed after the break in December.

Problem Effects:
BT Ireland Link to IADT will be down during the window (estimated recovery
time of 04:00).  This will mean a loss of General IP and Commodity
Internet service to IADT.


The BT Ireland link to NUIM will be down during the window (estimated
recovery time of 04:00).  All traffic will flip to the Eircom link to NUIM
with no noticeable outage.  Traffic will revert to the BT Ireland link when
the maintenance is complete.

Problem History:
20080204 15:55 BN Confirmed times and dates with NUIM.

20080205 10:05 BN Additional information has been given to HEAnet stating
that IADT will also be affected by this work.  Effects and other relevant
fields updated to reflect this change.

20080208 19:59 BN Geant have informed us that this work will also affect
our backup link and the HEAnet <-> CERN p2p circuit.
