Regarding a translation for 'fé' --

According to DIL 'Fé' expresses "woe, calamity, ill omen" without any sexual
connotation , so I don't think David's translation quite fits either. I'm not sure
about the shock value of the word in ancient times.
How about "Woe is me! (woe is us!) " or "Oh, no!" or just plain "Woe!"
or "Dreadful!" or "Terrible!" ? How do people usually translate the word?
Maybe we should just stick with "Fé!" Liz
