Jeff and all,
It is immateriel to this (supposesed) topic, whether or not you or I prefer
MacColl, Led Zeppelin, T Rex or Pavarotti singing ballads. My point
originally concerned methods of teaching singing and I cited those that
MacColl devised for his work with the Critics Group.
However, as has been my experience over the last thirty-odd years, once
again it has been impossible to move any discussion beyond whether MacColl
was born in Scotland and why he changed his name, which seems to me an awful
waste of an opportunity to exchang ideas.
Now if I was a conspiricy theorist........
