Dave Malone reports variable connectivity to ISC. Route is see-sawing
between Geant->NTT->ISC and GX->HE->...ISC.
20070511 16:08 CS & OMG investigating.
20070511 16:46 OMG The issue here seems to be with HE.net who we receive
the prefix through from Global Crossing and NTT who we receive it through
Geant. We seem to lose these routes at the same time, and then the next
best route is via TEIN2 in Japan to ISC (which appears to have routing
problems of its own as packets loss is much higher here).
OMG will be contacting GLBX and Geant asking them to peer with OCCAID in
the short term, who have good v6 connectivity to ISC. I will also contact
ISC and see what they can do to improve their network connectivity to us.
I have also proposed that HEAnet look at peering with OCCAID at AMSIX,
LINX or elsewhere in the US in the future as well.
20070606 18:19 OMG Emailed GBLX asking them to contact HE.net with a view
to them removing any references to 3FFE::/16 address space (we filter out
any packets from this address range as the 6Bone has been officially
deprecated for 1 year now). Also asked them to investigate peering with
OCCAID, whom ISC are connected to.
