The CIT client premises access router has reported down. All circuits
provided for CIT via this router (General Internet, An Cheim, Commodity
Internet) are affected.
20070620 11:13 BB Reporting problem, commencing investigation
20070620 11:17 BB CIT technical staff are investigating
20070620 11:52 BB A power spike in the CIT comms room has damaged a 3560
and a 3750. Requesting spare parts from Lan Communications.
20070620 12:50 BN CIT is back online using temporary equipment that was on
site. RMA of damaged 3560 and 3750 is ongoing. Another outage to CIT is
expected when new equipment is to be put in place. This ticket will be
updated with timing details of this outage.
20070620 15:08 BB The 3750 has been brought back into service, using a
spare power cord - it looks like the power supply survived after all.
Currently, service is being provided by this 3750, and a spare switch
supplied from a CIT lab to stand in for the damaged 3560.
20070622 09:45 BB CIT advise that the replacement 3560 has arrived on site
today. I've asked Lancomms to confirm when an engineer with be on site to
handle the replacement.
20070622 11:52 BB Lancomms have delivered the wrong model of replacement
router. They have re-commenced their RMA process, and state a new router
an engineer will be on site in 4 hours.
20070622 14:39 GAR Called Diarmuid Brennan, +353 21 4326432, to discuss
outage. Left a voicemail and will attempt to call again later.
20070622 16:53 GAR Called Diarmuid's number again. Got an 'extended
absence greeting in place' error from his voicemail, which means no more
messages will be accepted. Will make contact with CIT on Monday.
