Asatru are the heathen or pagans who use the Norse Pantheon of Gods for
(Icelandic word meaning something along the lines of "True to the Gods")
An Asatru Kindred is a group of Asatru people. (More or less.)
I have a few books on the Celtic Pantheon of Gods, and each one seems to
assign different roles to a different set of Gods and Goddesses.
Years ago, I started reading different clan publications, and have been
also looking these things up on the Internet, and at times it seems that
the Celtic Pantheon...
well, some of the Gods and Goddess would have similar names to the Norse
Pantheon, or similar stories, traits, or perhaps things like "God of
War" Goddesses of Love, etc, the same as the Norse Pantheon. Lou has
similar stories as Odin. Bridgit is similar to Freya, Maueve is similar
But sometimes, you get a different book, or writings from a different
clan, and the names are all changed. (Woden instead of Lou...)
This is why I describe the Celtic Pantheon as fragmented.
I really signed up to the list because someone had a posting that they
would like to find something similar to the Asatru method of worship
except using the Celtic Pantheon... and I am also looking to find such a
