Site/line: Hermes, Bluenet CW-DCU, DCU-POP PoP
During maintenance work in the Citywest PoP a cable was mistakenly removed
from G3/2 on the the bluenet 7606 (cwt-pe1). This took down the Citywest
- DCU-PoP backbone circuit.
A loss of resilience to the DCU PoP and a loss of v6 routing to the PoP
equipment and any v6 clients connected to that PoP.
20070214 13:37 BN Initial mistake corrected by 13:30 and all OSPF and BGP
peerings resumed. It is not initially clear as to why the v6 routing to
the DCU PoP stopped, but this will be investigated.
20070215 12:15 BN IPv6 routing to the DCU PoP failed because of a lack of
ISIS adjacency between the Kilcarbery core router (cr1-kp) and ar1-dcu.
This adjacency has been restored and IPv6 resilience is now in place.
