Power was lost to the entire of the DCU campus, including the HEAnet PoP.
While the UPS' held there was no lost of connectivity, but the UPS
batteries failed shortly before the power was restored and some
connectivity to sites connected to DUC has been lost.
20060831 16:07 BN We are investigating the condition of kit in the HEAnet
PoP now and will be confirming that equipment is booting as expected.
20060831 17:07 BN Power was not properly restored to the HEAnet PoP until
17:01. After power was restored the systems rebooted and connectivity has
been restored. The UPS in the PoP is not working properly and DCU will
investigate on the morning of Friday 1st September. This ticket will be
kept open to monitor the situation.
