HEAnet NOC lost the ability to make and receive calls to outside numbers
(internally numbers could still be reached) on
31/07/2006 at about 15:28 and
01/08/2006 at about 15:30
PABX needed to be rebooted to restore connectivity
20060801 16:13 COC Contacted NTL to check the line. Contacted Calyx who
game me the reference number 115524
20060802 09:47 COC NTL are testing out F-PRI line. This should be
completed by 14:00 today. Ruth Brannelly from NTL is the contact for this
20060802 11:51 COC NTL have seen errors on this line (CREF: 3230-1). They
will carry out a full test today between 15:00 to 16:00 to locate the
cause of this error.
20060802 12:57 BN A software upgrade is required to solve some of these
issues. The HEAnet PABX will be upgraded at 13:00 today and will be down
for approximately fifteen minutes. During this time emergency calls may
be made to +353-87-2590161.
20060802 13:20 BN Upgrade went ahead with c. 10 minute outage. Further
work may be necessary and this ticket will be updated if any further
disruptions are planned.
20060816 10:07 COC No further problems have been experienced since
upgrading the software on the PABX.
20060816 15:20 COC Line dropped again at 20060816 15:02. Reopened case
with both providers. Awaiting logs and RFO.
20060817 16:13 COC Log analyser has being but on NTLís F-PRI line.
Calyx Engineer due onsite to check for errors.
20060821 13:33 COC There will be a 2 min outage to HEAnet's External
telephone at 13:35
20060821 17:20 COC FPRI card has been changed. Logging software has been
put on the PBX to monitor the CPE
20060823 16:53 COC Phone lines dropped again at 16:53. Contacted NTL and
Calyx to find out the results of their traces
20060824 11:16 COC CRC needs to be enabled on the F-PRI on the PBX. This
will happen at 20060824 @ 08:30. This will cause a 2 min outage to outside
calls while the F-PRI resynchronises
20060829 15:37 COC NTL are no longer logging errors on the F-PRI. No
further outages have occurred since CRC was enabled on both ends of the
