Aedán thrusts the spear into him
"ind" in acc. is masc. or neuter, so I suppose it could be either
"into him" or "into it" ("druimm" being neuter) -- but "him" reads
better in context, I think. The infixed no-d- is proleptic to "gaí"
I guess, and is a MI development.
> so that it [the spearpoint] reached through it [MF's back?],
I'd read "triit" as "through him"; but this, too, could be a neuter
corresponding to "druimm". "Rind" means "point", but what exactly
is "a rrindi" here?
> where it pinned him in his seat...
"Suidi" probably means "sitting position" here rather than refering
to an actual physical object. I'd take "co tarlai ina s[h]uidi"
to mean "and put him into a sitting position" -- i.e. "and knocked
him off his feet" or something to that effect. But I don't think
there was a wooden seat behind him for the spear point to stick in.
