Site/line: Kilcarbery Park PoP, IPv6 tunnels
Luna has logged errors and disabled CEF, removing access to functions at
the Kilcarbery Park PoP.
National backbone, most external peerings and iBGP routing mesh operating
in nonredundant mode. IPv6 access to the general internet is backing up
via Géant, and IPv6-in-IPv4 tunnels are unavailable.
20051224 18:02 DW Open ticket, investigating.
20051224 19:15 DW Luna had lost access to TACACS server, so could not
reach enable mode. Came on-site to Brooklawn House, dialled in over ISDN.
Confirmed that OSPF as well as BGP was disabled, so traffic was indeed
rerouting correctly, and succeeded in rebooting the router at LAN Comms
Urgent issue is now resolved; have asked LAN Comms to follow up with Cisco
regarding the root cause of the mallocfail.
20051227 16:54 OMG David Bannon emailed asking for a copy of the syslog
messages to pass on to the
Cisco TAC Engineer.
20060103 14:02 AH TAC diagnose memory leak and recommend an IOS upgrade.
This is scheduled to take place during the maintenance window 08:00-10:00
on Wednesday January 4th.
20060104 09:09 BN Router reload has taken place and system routing is
proceeding normally after a brief outage. Some further investigation is
necessary due to errors during the reload.
20060214 09:38 BN The IOS upgrade appears to have solved this issue,
however other problems have been identified as listed in Ticket
