While working in our Citywest PoP, a Lancomms engineer heard a loud noise
and observed sparks coming from a power supply in Deimos, a core router.
At the same time the router noted a loss of power to that power supply.
Deimos is now running on one power supply. All circuits landing on Deimos
are at risk; however, traffic will reroute using redundant links if this
router goes down.
20051130 08:59 DC Opened case with LanComms to RMA the power supply.
20051130 11:36 DC PSU replaced at 10:28. Monitoring for 24 hours.
