20051101 11:46 OMG Reported fault to Paul in BT Ireland, who has logged the
call with the NMC under ticket # 1-132941003. Circuit recovered at 11:28.
Awaiting an explanation for the outage.
20051101 12:41 OMG George Deacy confirms that there has been a power
outage due to the main powerboard being overloaded. They are currently
running off the main college generator (which should last for 24hours).
Our UPS seems to have kicked in straight away as we did not experience any
outages on our equipment, so the problem is probably with BT Ireland's
backup power for the circuits.
20051101 13:07 OMG Neil from the NMC confirms that the problem was due to
a power outage. Their battery backup should have kicked in but didn't for
some reason so BT have suggested that once the power problems are resolved
in Galway that they will send someone down to test the rectifier to make
sure that the failover to battery occurs properly in the event of another

BT to arrange access for them to test the battery backup on their circuit
