A Chàirdean,

Tha dithis dhearbh-leughadairean rin lorg a bheir sùil air eadar-theangachadh Gàidhlig a sgŕobh
mi airson làrach-ĺn cruitheachdail "Answers in Genesis". Ch́thear aig bonn pŕomh duilleag AiG,
se sin
http://answersingenesis.org/
gu bheil an làrach-ĺn ri fhaighinn ann an sreath de chànanan. Chuir mi romham (o chionn
bliadhnachan a-nis) gum biodh a' Ghàidhlig nam measg, agus rinn mi an t-eadar-theangachadh a
bha dh́th. Ach tha dàil air a bhith ann bhon uairsin bho nach deach duine sam bith a lorg fhathast
a ghabhadh os làimh an dearbh-leughadh. Tha protocol eadar-theangachaidhean Answers in
Genesis mar a leanas -

The Translator undertakes that the Translated Work shall be checked by at least two separate
people, other than the Translator, who are fluent native speakers of that language, of which at
least one shall be a person competent in the sorts of technical issues covered in the Original.
Such checking shall be for more than just linguistic and technical accuracy, but also for stylistic
smoothness and ‘natural’ reading, giving adequate consideration to the use of idiom such that it
is not an ‘obvious translation’. The intention is that, as much as possible, a native speaker in the
language into which it has been translated will perceive it as ‘sounding like’ a work originally
written in that language.

Nise, tha mi 'n ḍchas nach gabh daoine eagal rona sin idir. Ma tha thu fileanta sa Ghàidhlig, tha
sin "native" gu lẹr! Uime sin, ma tha grèim agad air a' chànan agus ma tha thu ag aontachadh ri
seasamh cruitheachdail AiG, nach cuir thu d'ainm chugam aig [log in to unmask] Mura faigh sinn
daoine a dh'aithghearr, caillear an cothrom seo gu buileach, agus bu mḥr am beud.

Ged nach eil na duilleagan agam foillsichte gu h-oifigeil, faodaidh tu sùil a thoirt orra aig
http://answersingenesis.org/gaelic/default.asp
ach am faic thu na tha dh́th.

le gach deagh dhùrachd,

Fearghas MacFhionnlaigh
