Both GSRs have had memory shortage problems which have resulted in outages.
Upgrading memory to fix this problem.
Both routers will need to be powered down resulting in a loss of peering
and service. Each one will be done separately so traffic should reroute
during each outage. Both routers will be at risk for the 1 hour

20041026 15:52 AH Maintenance running order confirmed. The first router to
be affected at 08:00 will impact Géant Primary, JANET Backup, MANLAN,
Citywest-Kilcarbery, Citywest-Brooklawn House. The second router
(estimated start time no later than 08:30) will impact Global Crossing
General Internet, Géant Backup, JANET Primary, Citywest-Galway.
All sites affected will have connectivity via alternative routes for each

noted between 08:12 and 08:23 and between 08:33 and 08:38. Traffic
rerouted via alternative connections after a brief delay. Additional
checking and setting of MTU sizes conpleted at 08:51.
HEAnet will monitor for 24 hours.
