Shae, I have fond memories of Craggaunowen, which I visited in September of
2001, even though parts of it did seem to be getting run down. Tim Severin's
Brendan Boat is there in which he undertook in 1976, the Atlantic crossing
supposedly made by St. Brendan and his monks, in the sixth century AD.

Sadly, the structures on the crannog at Craggaunowen burned down a few
months ago. They are being re-built, though, and should be open for
business again early next year.
