tempus.heanet.ie, the Cisco 7200 limerick access router is currently at
rommon prompt, no remote syslogs from tempus are present of the event
Traffic to UL rerouted to Cork via a lower bandwidth connection. Traffic to
CAO is backing up via the Galway PoP, also at lower bandwidth.
20040617 17:56 CMC Opening ticket, Lancomms have been contacted and the
issue is currently being investigated
20040617 18:56 DW Limerick PoP contact intervened on site. LAN Comms are
investigating the problem. Connectivity is currently unavailable but
should be considered unreliable. NOC are attempting a workaround for UL
20040617 19:53 DW UL is now being routed via the Cork PoP, with a
performance impact. TippInst is routing via Dublin and are unaffected by
this outage. LAN Comms are due on site in Limerick at 20:30. davew taking
ownership of the ticket.
20040617 21:48 DW LAN Comms are working onsite with access provided by the
NOC. A new IOS will be uploaded to the router shortly.
20040617 22:36 DW LAN Comms have upgraded the IOS to 12.3(9). Router will
be left in its current state, with workaround in place for UL, overnight
and we will revisit in the morning to see if further intervention is
20040618 10:24 CMC Contacted by UL site contacts and agree 11 am to switch
UL access back to limerick access router, there will be a brief (< 5 mins)
outage to facilitate this.
20040618 11:03 CMC UL now routed through Limerick access router access,
outage lasted approx 1 minute.
20040711 21:47 CMC Closing ticket as issue is now corrected.
