Well, it's at the opposite extreme in terms of bulk and detail,
but RIA's _Stories from Keating's History of Ireland_ has a very
brief introduction to Keating's classical language. It might be
quite useful for you. If you can't get hold of a copy, perhaps
it would be permissable to photocopy the few pages in question.
