Freshwater Algae Course as featured in the Winter/Spring issue of the
Phycological Newsletter (Vol. 40, No. 1, pages 1-2)
The Freshwater Algae course will be conducted for the ninth consecutive
year at the Kindrogan Field Centre in the scenic highlands of Scotland from
24-31 July 2004. The course costs £395 (approx. $715) per person, which
includes accommodation, all meals (you will not go hungary) and
tuition. This is very good value for money.
This course is open to individuals with different backgrounds ranging from
beginners to those who would like to refresh their knowledge of particular
groups of algae or experience collecting in a different region of the
world. The course focuses on how to get to grips with identification, but
broader aspects of algal morphology, structure, reproduction,
classification will be discussed. We specialise in one-on-one tutorials.
