Is there a comprehensive list published for species of cyanobacteria
capable of N-fixation? I have hunted the primary literature and have
come across some species specific refs. Have also pulled down our dusty
text books but have yet to find an "exhaustive" list of taxa known to
fix nitrogen. With the advances in molecular techniques, I suspect that
the list is growing fast. I'm especially interested in the
non-heterocyst forms (e.g., Oscillatoria and Lygnbya).
