Apparent denial of service caused problems reaching University
Traffic to and from UL was affected for ~ 1 hour.
Traffic to the apparent target host is being null routed
by HEAnet at this time.
Tracked most popular IP address in UL; applied a null route
at Schiphol in Dublin, observed that load on Limerick access router
dropped and UL's link became stable. Reported to our upstream who
are taking further action. Schiphol remains heavily loaded until
20020703 20:30 davew
UUnet are filtering that address. Traffic through Teleglobe has started
to spike again, presumably as route flap damping of UL's network
recedes. Null routing at Deimos and have contacted Teleglobe to request
