The Botanical Institute, University of Bergen, Norway is offering Visiting
Fellowships for 3 - 9 months duration for doctoral students as part of the
European Union 5th Framework Marie Curie Host Fellowship Scheme. Fellowships
are available for 2003 in the QPALEN (Quantitative palaeoecology and
ecology in northen and arctic areas) and QPALCLIM (Quantitative
palaeoclimatic reconstructions from lake sediments - jointly with the
Geological, Zoological, and Geographical Institutes at the University of
Bergen) training sites.

Applicants must be nationals of a European Union Member State or be able to
provide proof of having resided in a Member State for at least the last
five years prior to their application and must be under the age of 35. The
next closing date for applications is 1 October 2002.
